Grove Fruit Juice
In 1971 at 20 years of age, along with 11 of his London school mates David took up the Australian challenge and headed down under to become one of our nations league of “ten pound poms”.
After spending 2 years in Sydney working as a field represent for AC Nielsen, Market Research David’s wander lust got the better of him and he set off to explore Australia finding work along the way for the next four years picking fruit and general farm hand duties. It was during these years that David developed an understanding for the Australian farming culture and an appreciation of Australia’s agricultural and horticultural capability.
Moving to NSW Northern Rivers, David took up a partnership opportunity to start a fruit juice bottling company. In 1988 after trading for 10 years Citropack fruit juice company was taken over by Grove fruit juice and David was appointed General Manager of the larger entity and is a senior executive of the Grove Group of companies. In the 25 years since David has been at Grove the company has grown to become one the largest wholly Australian owned juice companies in Australia with its brands distributed nationally to all major Supermarkets, independents and other food service businesses.
